About Capitan Morgan
Capitan Morgan is one of the larger private shipping companies of the Gulf of Naples, with its head office in Naples and its operating base on Ischia, where the main ticket office sits on Molo Redentore at Ischia Porto. The company was born in 1993 from the merger of four local operators, Linee Lauro, Linee Buono, Mareviaggi and Società Calypso, merged with a local competitor into So.Ge.Ma. around 2003 and has traded under the Capitan Morgan name since 2004. Like Alilauro and Alicost it is managed within the Lauro Holding group. Its business is excursions: Capri, Procida, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and the tour around Ischia, plus charters.
The fleet
The fleet is built for day trips rather than commuting: the motorships Ischiamar, Ischiamar III, Freccia del Golfo and Calypso, plus the smaller La Sorrentina and Barca Azzurra. The Ischiamar of 1989 is 34.90 metres long and takes 330 passengers, with a bar and air conditioning; Wi-Fi is available on board and the fleet has access for passengers with reduced mobility. No vessel carries vehicles.

The fixed summer product is the Linea Flegrea: on weekdays from 22 June to 11 September a morning boat leaves Pozzuoli, calls at Baia, Monte di Procida and Torregaveta, lands on Procida and ends in Casamicciola, returning the same way in the evening, with a midday shuttle between Casamicciola and Procida in between. Boarding follows the time shown with the ticket. Dogs are welcome on a lead and muzzled, against a pet fare per sailing, and the owner brings a bag and scoop; the crew may ask lively animals to stay on the outer deck. Assistance dogs travel free with full access to the ship.
