Getting to Pozzuoli and the harbour
Pozzuoli lies at the western edge of the Naples urban area, in the volcanic Campi Flegrei. From central Naples, metro line 2 and the Cumana railway both run out here; from either station it is a short downhill walk or a quick taxi to the port. Drivers leave the Tangenziale at the Pozzuoli exits and follow the port signs. The harbour itself is compact: ticket booths, a waiting area and the ferry quay sit within a couple of hundred metres.
Parking, the real reason to start here
If your trip involves a car, Pozzuoli is the sensible endpoint for it. Paid lots and garages around the port take day and multi-day parkers, and leaving the car here avoids both central Naples traffic and the island's seasonal ban on visitor vehicles. Arrive with enough margin to find a space in high summer; mornings are easiest.

Tickets come from the booths at the harbour or online. Follow the check-in time and documents named by the carrier or seller for your sailing. Where vehicles are travelling, Caremar loads them from the lane in front of the quay and applies its vehicle check-in procedure.
On board
The Caremar ferries on this run are small, functional ships: half an hour with an open deck, rows of seats inside and the Campi Flegrei coastline sliding past. Other operators use their own craft on selected dates, so check the sailing details before booking.
Arrival on Procida and onward
You land at Marina Grande like every other boat to the island, in the middle of the harbour front with buses, taxis and the walkable lanes right there. For the return, the last sailings of the day are worth checking in advance, especially outside summer.
