Alilauro Gru.So.N. S.p.A. was formed in the early 1990s when Alilauro, the Ischia fast-craft company of the Lauro group, joined forces with GRU.SO.N, a Sorrento shipping group active in the Gulf of Sorrento since the 1950s. The company is based in Sorrento and describes itself as the link between the islands and the mainland: more than thirty years of service, a dozen routes and sailings 365 days a year on the Sorrento - Capri corridor, with seasonal lines fanning out to Positano, Amalfi, Castellammare di Stabia, Ischia and Procida.
The fleet
Twelve vessels serve the coast: Apollo, One, Blitz, Carlotta, Città di Sorrento, Delfino, Europa Jet, Freccia Argento, Giunone Jet, La Sorrentina, San Valentino and Superflyte, all fast passenger craft for foot passengers, without a vehicle deck.
Routes to Procida
On this site Alilauro Gruson appears on the Ischia - Procida channel with one sailing a day in season, about 20 minutes, the Ischia leg of the seasonal Sorrento line. Alilauro's 2026 timetable ran the Sorrento - Procida service from 1 April to 30 September: Monday, Wednesday and Friday for most of the season, daily from 15 July to 15 August. The 2026 season ended on 30 September. Check-in, luggage and pet
The company's conditions of carriage ask passengers to be on the quay at least 30 minutes before departure; a discounted ticket travels with the document that justifies it. Hand luggage is one piece of at most 50 x 35 x 20 cm and 9 kg, anything beyond that needs a luggage ticket, cheaper when bought with the fare than at the quay. One pet per passenger is allowed against a pet fare: small or medium size, dogs on a lead and muzzled, and never on the seats. Bicycles are carried on the Sorrento - Procida line for a fee.
