About Alicost
Alicost S.p.A. is the fast-craft company of the Amalfi Coast, headquartered at Salita Sopramuro in Amalfi and, like Alilauro and Capitan Morgan, managed within the Lauro Holding group. Its home water is the Gulf of Salerno: Salerno, Vietri, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi and Positano, with Capri across the water and, in summer, a line that reaches Ischia and Procida. The company also runs boat tours and charters along the coast.
The fleet
Alicost sails six fast monohulls for foot passengers: Shock with 400 seats, Relax with 393, Raid with 355, City of Amalfi with 330, Seagull with 195 and the small Fury with 80, at 16 to 24 knots, most of them with a bar on board. There is no vehicle deck.
Routes to Procida
On this site Alicost is the Ischia - Procida sailing of its Procida line, a hop of about 15 minutes from Ischia Porto, where the company has its ticket office at Piazzale Redentore. The line starts in Salerno in the morning and calls at Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Ischia before Procida, and returns in the afternoon the same way, so it works both as an Ischia hop and as a direct link between Procida and the Amalfi Coast. It is seasonal: from 1 April at weekends, daily from June through the summer, and the operator's booking shows the last day of the season. Check-in, luggage and pet
Alicost's general conditions ask passengers to be at the quay at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. Hand luggage is one piece of at most 50 x 35 x 20 cm and 9 kg; additional or larger pieces need a luggage ticket, cheaper when bought with the fare than at the ship's side. One pet per passenger travels against a fee, small or medium-sized, on a lead and muzzled or in a carrier, and never on the seats.
Tickets
Tickets are sold online through the Alicost booking system, at the ticket offices from Salerno to Ischia and through the booking links on the route pages; the Procida landing tax is added to the fare. Current amounts are on the prices page.
