Procida ferry timetable
The corridors keep different rhythms: Naples runs ferries and hydrofoils from early morning to evening, Pozzuoli several sailings a day, and the Ischia channel sees boats all day from both Ischia Porto and Casamicciola. Seasonal lines come and go with the summer. Pick a date and port pair to see the actual departures with operator and arrival time.
Three ports for one island
Procida lies in the Bay of Naples, and three ports serve it. Naples is the one most travellers use: the boats leave from the city centre, and the crossing is short enough for a day trip.
Pozzuoli, just west of Naples, is the shortest crossing to the island and the practical choice if you are coming by car or from the western suburbs. Ischia is the neighbouring island, and the two are linked several times a day.
What to watch out for in the timetable
The services are frequent, but they are not evenly spread. Sailings cluster in the morning and the late afternoon, the midday gap is longer than the overall count suggests, and the last boat back to Naples is earlier than most visitors expect. Check the return before you plan the day.
Fast craft and car ferries share the route and differ in more than speed: the fast boats are passenger-only, and access for vehicles on Procida itself is restricted for non-residents in the summer months.
Weather cancels crossings here too. In autumn and winter a strong wind can stop the hydrofoils while the larger ferries keep running, so look at what type is sailing on your date, not only at the time.
FAQ timetable
FAQ
Questions about reading the Procida timetable.
How close to departure should I check the timetable? +
Check again on the day of travel, especially for the last sailing. Timetables change between operating periods, and wind may disrupt fast craft before conventional ferries. The carrier decides whether each sailing operates.
What cancels sailings here? +
Strong wind can disrupt hydrofoils before conventional ferries, but decisions and remedies are carrier- and ticket-specific. Check the operator notice and the seller named on your confirmation; choose an earlier sailing when weather is doubtful.
Why do some connections disappear from the timetable? +
The links to Capri, Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast and the Flegrean coast run seasonally and are partly sold outside the big booking systems. Their absence from a winter search is not an error. Check the seasonal ferry guide; the three core corridors run year round.
Do departure points differ between sailings? +
Yes. Naples has two piers, Porta di Massa for car ferries and Molo Beverello for hydrofoils, and on Ischia the boats leave from either Ischia Porto or Casamicciola. The timetable rows name the operator; the ticket names the pier. Check both before you set off.
